The 2021 Gillings Welcome & Orientation Event Series is designed to welcome new students to the Gillings School Community and prepare all incoming 1st year students for success during their time in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Connect with your Academic Coordinator Sessions - August 5th - August 13th
Gillings Building Community Student Mixers - August 21st - August 27th
Gillings International Student Mixer - August 24th
Gillings BIPOC Student Mixer (details coming soon)

Event Purpose/Goal:

· Officially welcome new 1st year students to UNC Gillings School.
· Review related policies/practices pertinent for 1st year new students at Gillings.
· Deep dive into course objectives and skills honed from courses.
· Explain the arc of coursework and rationale for sequencing of courses.
· Introduce 1st year new students to current students, faculty, staff to build community.
